I do my 400mm f/2.8 and 600mm f / 4, but certainly not at the same time.
If I am taking pictures of the MLB, I have my 600 on a tripod and good photographers from 400 mm in the monopod
Most of them are 300 mm or more to get close-ups they need. As the available light, even for a night game, 1.8 more were killed to limit the speed and the depth that it is difficult to get a good focus is on a moving object.
